Kathleen and I want to thank all of you who sent emails and cards of condolence, prayers, and warm thoughts after the tragic death of our beloved Malachi. I must admit to you that I have so far only read the barest few of the hundreds that came in. But we intend to read every one at some point – when we’re a bit less fragile – and we’ll attempt to answer every one personally.
We’re beginning the long climb out of the hole, assisted in no small way by Noelle’s new-found need for companionship and the mind consuming experience of starting a new blog, hopefully one that will be of immense benefit to everyone as we all try to make our way through the classroom of real life. Although tomorrow is the first official day of the blog, we have posted entries from the newsletter dating back to January of 2008. We hope you’ll subscribe.
Once again, I can’t tell you how special and loved you have made us feel as we have struggled through this awful time in our lives. Thank each of you very, very much.
Joe
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Malachi. I have horses myself and I just cannot imagine the immense sense of loss you both must be feeling.
One has to wonder, in Malachi’s short life on earth, if his purpose hasn’t already been fulfilled, in leading Noelles heart to find yours and Kathleens. Maybe he was needed to break the barrier and help her get over her fear. I’m sure Malachi is watching and will be very pleased that she is in your hands. Be in peace.
It is so heartwarming to know that both you and Kathleen are making it through the pain and that there is light on the other side. Noelle’s new found love will just grow and grow and grow, as of course will yours.
